Internal Users
Users from QUT and Griffith University are not charged for time on the instruments or for standard specimen preparation consumables. Charges for QUT and Griffith University users are normally only for photographic materials and a nominal charge for laser time on the confocal microscope*. Sheet film is needed on the TEMs (except in STEM mode on the CM200), but both SEMs acquire digital images.
External Users
External users are additionally charged an hourly fee for use of the instruments, which depends on the service and on whether technical assitance is required. Please contact AEMF Staff for further details.

Please Note:
* Charges are shown ex–tax and are subject to 10% GST.
* Internal users of the Confocal Laser Microscopy are charged $20 for the initial hour, then $10/hr thereafter to allow for replacement of the mercury lamp and laser.
* Rates for Cryo–ultramicrotomy, photographic or image storage are available from AEMF staff.
